Bright fireworks light the night sky in this project celebrating the start of 2017. After viewing many examples of fireworks displays on google images, on the smart board, and in small groups on the iPads, the kids were ready to recreate their own fireworks shows using oil pastels on blue paper. Cityscapes were drawn and cut out of black paper. Windows were lit using white and yellow pastels.
